Since I did the Uncle Sam image last Friday, I’ll honor the birth of the Declaration of Independence, and the birth of the United States of America (ahh… America! Remember America? I sure do miss America. sigh. I wonder whatever became of America? anyway…) with the birth of NEW American Hero!!!
I probably should have put him on a stars and stripes background, but he’s the first in a series of doodles in our quest for a Sketchbook Club logo. He’s supposed to be a kind of samurai/gaijin/otaku/nerd, if you know what I mean. But instead of a Final Fantasy XXVII sword, he’s got a giant pencil. (Ha ha — Good one!) If anyone wants to suggest a name for him, feel free.
This pic isn’t as dynamic as yesteday’s, so I nominate it as spokesimage for the emerging gentlecore movement, if there is such a thing.

I think you and Dan should make a picture of all your favorite comic characters that you’ve created and have them drawing a picture of *you guys*!!!!!
