I’ve been told I do the same thing. Archie, Archie — you really are the everyman, aren’t you?

BTW – I’m trying to find the name of the artist who drew this. No, it’s not DanDeCarlo, and it’s certainly not Bob Bolling (That’s a joke — if you know Bob Bolling’s work, you know he had a much different style. Ha ha — Good one!). This person was active in the groovy part of the sixties, and possibly earlier. It might even be Neal Adams, who I know worked for Archie comics at some point, but this guy produced a lot of pages. This guy can clearly draw as well as Adams — note the well-rendered hands and clothing folds, as well as the hot chicka in the corner. Hubba hubba! And wait until you see his Caveman Archie strips!

I think this artist created the most dynamic pages of any Archie artist (have you seen the drawing in their books lately?), and I can’t find any reference or documentation to tell me who it is. I’ll be posting more from this artist in the future in an effort to solve the mystery!
