I used Wordle.net to sift the most oft-used words from the lyrics of the last 80 (or so) songs I’ve written, and generate this heatmap to reveal the common threads of my ouvre. I made this collage by overlaying several variations of the image.
I, you, and, the, to, me were most populous, but culling the articles and common pronouns, the remaining key words were know, want, just, like, love, always, and never. These words are the apparent soul of my secret heart, splayed open like the wanton virgin on her wedding bed. Ooh yeah, baby baby. Ooh, yeah yeah…
