More nice things being said about the utility of doodling:

The most striking thing was the effort that students would apply to learning about science when they read and then drew what they could understand from the text, and how much enjoyment they derived from doing this.

Back in the late 30s/early 40s, the Nuns would beat our hands with rulers for doodling in class. That must be why I’m not a scientist.

Sunni Brown is still at it! She caught our eye with her The Miseducation of the Doodle post at A List Apart a few months back (which we hotlinked about 15 posts previous), and now she’s following it up with a video. She offers some nice bon mots (to doodle is to make spontaneous marks to help you think), but if doodling becomes a hot topic amongst the cadres of designerazzi servicing the corporate death machine, we promise to hold her accountable.
